10GBASE-T SFP+ RJ45 for Copper 10G Links

10GBASE-T SFP+ RJ45 modules usually run warmer than DAC, AOC, or optical SFP+ modules. For stable 10G performance, use Cat6a/Cat7 cable, keep good airflow around the SFP+ port, and choose a low-power version when possible.

10G LC BiDi SFP+ for Single-Fiber Links

Choose RJ45 if your NAS or workstation uses copper Ethernet, DAC for short rack connections, and fiber for longer links or lower heat.

Why do many HomeLab users choose CUX3610?

CUX3610 is suitable for users who need 10G RJ45 over existing copper cabling while keeping power consumption and heat lower than many traditional 10GBASE-T modules.

Is 10G necessary for NAS?

10G is useful for large file transfers, backups, virtualization storage, video editing and multi-user access to shared storage.

Can I use this solution with UniFi or MikroTik?

Many HomeLab users build 10G networks with UniFi, MikroTik, pfSense and OpenWRT devices. Please confirm SFP+ compatibility and choose the correct module option before ordering.

Can I mix BiDi SFP+ with regular duplex SFP+?

No. BiDi SFP+ modules must connect to a matching BiDi module with the correct opposite TX/RX wavelengths. They should not be mixed with standard duplex SFP+ modules.
