1×16 PLC Splitter Overview

The 1×16 PLC Splitter is a passive optical component designed to divide one incoming single mode optical signal evenly between sixteen output fibers.

Based on planar lightwave circuit technology, it provides stable optical power distribution across the 1260–1650nm operating wavelength range. The 1×16 configuration allows one feeder fiber to serve sixteen optical branches without powered switching equipment or an external power supply.

This version uses 0.9mm single mode ITU-T G.657A fiber and SC/UPC connectors. The UPC-polished interfaces provide standard low-loss connections for single mode optical networks, while the compact mini-module construction is suitable for installation in fiber distribution boxes, splice closures, wall-mounted enclosures, equipment cabinets, and optical test systems.

With maximum insertion loss of ≤14.0dB, loss uniformity of ≤1.0dB, and polarization dependent loss of ≤0.3dB, the splitter provides stable passive signal distribution for FTTH, GPON, EPON, XG-PON, XGS-PON, passive optical LAN, telecom distribution, and optical monitoring applications.
