FC to ST Fiber Adapter Overview

The FC to ST Fiber Adapter is a single mode male-to-female hybrid adapter designed to connect an FC/UPC equipment interface to an ST/UPC fiber connector.

Its FC/UPC male side connects to a compatible FC/UPC female equipment port, while the ST/UPC female side accepts a standard ST/UPC male connector. This fixed interface configuration provides a direct conversion solution when optical equipment and existing fiber cables use different connector types.

The adapter eliminates the need to replace the equipment interface, install a dedicated FC-to-ST patch cable, or perform fusion splicing. Its compact and reusable construction makes it suitable for optical instruments, communication equipment, fiber testing systems, laboratories, and network maintenance applications.

With insertion loss of ≤0.3dB and return loss of ≥50dB, the adapter supports stable single mode optical transmission. Both connector interfaces should be inspected and cleaned before use to reduce contamination-related loss and maintain consistent connection performance.
