SC UPC Bare Fiber Adapter Overview

The SC UPC Bare Fiber Adapter is a reusable fiber testing accessory designed to provide a temporary connection between prepared 125μm bare fiber and an SC/UPC optical test interface.

It allows technicians to connect bare fiber directly to an OTDR, optical power meter, optical light source, or compatible test instrument without installing a permanent fiber connector. The epoxy-free structure makes the fiber easy to insert, remove, and test repeatedly during fiber measurement, troubleshooting, and laboratory work.

The ceramic alignment core helps maintain stable fiber positioning and low connection loss. The adapter supports standard single mode and multimode fibers with 125μm cladding and provides insertion loss of ≤0.2dB under suitable fiber preparation and connection conditions.

Its compact reusable design is suitable for telecom maintenance, fiber production inspection, optical equipment testing, and laboratory applications. The bare fiber should be correctly stripped, cleaned, and cleaved before insertion to obtain consistent measurement results.
