SC UPC to SC APC Fiber Adapter Overview

The SC UPC to SC APC Fiber Adapter is a single mode hybrid adapter designed to connect an SC/UPC male equipment interface to an SC/APC female fiber connector.

Its fixed male-to-female configuration provides a compact conversion solution for optical instruments, fiber test equipment, FTTH systems, communication devices, and network maintenance applications. It allows an SC/APC patch cable to connect directly to compatible equipment with an SC/UPC female port without replacing the existing equipment interface.

The ceramic and metal internal structure helps maintain stable optical alignment during repeated connection and removal. The adapter supports a working wavelength range of 1200nm to 1600nm, with insertion loss of ≤0.30dB at both 1310nm and 1550nm and return loss of ≥50dB.

The nominal 0dB designation means that the adapter is designed for interface conversion without intentionally adding a calibrated attenuation value. Normal optical connection loss remains present. The compact reusable construction supports more than 1000 insertion cycles when the optical interfaces are correctly cleaned and handled.
